Security Bulletin - Signing RDP connections to Hosted

Info
The contents of this bulletin are still being updated
Following Microsoft's April 2026 Security update (https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/vulnerability/CVE-2026-26151) we will now need to digitally sign the RDP icons used to connect to hosted.
What this will mean for you is that until the process is completed you will have 2 new warning messages that must be accepted before you can connect to Hosted.

The first warning you will receive is:

A screenshot of the first-launch experience

You need to check the box “I understand and allow RDP files to open on this device for my account” and click OK
Then you will receive one of the following, the message on the left is for New-1Screen and New-2Screen and the message on the right is for New-DUO.
Select the options indicated below.

What happens next?

We will be putting new “Signed” icons onto your desktop and the existing New-1Screen and New-2Screen icons will be removed.

These will be called Signed-1Screen and Signed-2Screen

When you connect to these new icons you will have a confirmation dialog as below:

This shows that the publisher is Adeptio Law Group and that the connection is signed, check the box "Don't ask me again" and click connect.

Warning
If the Signed-1Screen or Signed-2Screen icons display the yellow unsigned warning messages, do not connect and contact IT.
